If we haven’t made it clear: Open Hearth Lodge loves dogs. We expanded our lodge to allow for many more dogs to come and stay with us, while offering ample separation for our guests without dogs. We put in a fenced-in dog run, a dog bath, and baggie stations to make it easy and convenient for dog owners. Our dog-friendly rooms are a perfect fit for dogs of any size, and even include a dog bed and a welcome package for your pooch.
Now that we’re in the tail-end of the Summer, it’s time to celebrate the Dog Days. Soak in the last rays of the Door County summer with your best friend at your side, and book your next stay at our dog-friendly hotel today!
Celebrate National Dog Month
Our canine companions deserve love all year long, but this is the month that we increase the walks, treats, and scratches. There are many things you can do with your pup to celebrate!

Keep Your Pooch Healthy with Exercise
Although April was deemed Canine Fitness Month, the dog days of summer are the perfect time to get your pooch out and enjoying vigorous exercise. All dogs love to move their bodies, and the benefits extend far beyond the most important one: more quality time with your best friend.
